Floors are essential features of every home.
One of the most long-lasting and resilient floors today is the WOODEN FLOOR.
It contributes to a healthy living environment and usually symbolizes class and elegance.
No matter how good is the wood, it needs to be protected.
High traffic areas can wear and damage the surface leaving scratches and stains faster than in light traffic areas. Therefore the wood floorings must be strong enough to withstand all kinds of pressure.
In this case, it is preferable to use lacquer finishing.
The lacquer finishing developed and optimized for various environments and loads. Therefore, there are a few types of lacquer for wood parquet flooring.
LETS TALK ABOUT TYPES.
The first is for Residential use with light traffic areas, and the second is for Commercial use with high to extreme traffic areas. It can be corridors and sports floors, canteens and stairs, hotels’ reception areas and rooms, restaurants, and other public areas.
For residential use is 1 component (1K) lacquer. It is the perfect choice for family homes with tough protection for all rooms.
Whereas, the commercial has two components (2K) as it consists of the hardener.
This type has extremely strong protection, high slip resistance, and resistance to scratches & stains.
Of course, to get the said results, the lacquer has to be applied following the strict instruction (for example, fill up gaps between floorboards with fillers and apply a primer for saturating surfaces and reduce side-binding before lacquering) and it is important to choose better quality.
Advice is always to choose professionals and ask for the product Technical Datasheet.
