Quality wood floors have their prices. No matter how much you spend buying it, it needs proper care like anything in life. Neglecting this fact will lead to a decline in its value and appearance just like buying a Maserati and never change the oil!
Parquet floors are definitely a guaranteed way to add value and comfort to your home. Even though, it needs regular attention to keep in original state.
Every day a significant amount of dirt and microorganisms accumulate on the surface and in the scratches and joints of flooring. To remove this build-up with traditional methods using any old broom and a mop, without a doubt, is next to impossible. Most of us think if we purchased anything at a higher cost, hence, it doesn’t require care and well looked after. Clearly, it is a wrong statement.

Different types of wood floors may require absolutely contrast care. Also, it depends weather floors waxed, oiled, or lacquered coating. It is important to determine the type of finish on the wooden floor and always treat it properly.
For instance, for waxed and oiled coatings we use Natural Refreshing Soap mixed with cold water. Thus it leaves a mat protecting oil film on the wood surface. Whereas for lacquered floors there is a different type of Wood Cleaner. It mixed with warm water cleans and degrease the surface.
Nevertheless, the maintenance schedule will depend on how floors are used and in which area they are located.
There are 3 different types of maintenance.
Domestic use:
- Refresh: Once or Twice a week
- Revive: Once a year
- Recoat: Every 5 -10 years
Light Commercial:
- Refresh: 3 – 5 times a week
- Revive: 3 – 4 times a year
- Recoat: Every 3 – 5 years
Public Areas:
- Refresh: Daily
- Revive: 4 – 6 times a year
- Recoat: Every 2 – 3 years
Definitely, all these types of maintenance and treatments are done by different technologies and equipment for wood machining.
To make your parquet floors look new, you do not have to be occupied every weekend for the rest of your life. With the right tools and supplies, quality hardwood cleaners, spot cleaning, and knowing what needs to be done, you can spend less time cleaning and more time enjoying living.
